“If you are ever in the environs of Camp Kipwe you must experience this unique lodging! It is hard to describe, in the middle of barren desert, rondels a have been forged in and around a rocky outcrop! It has all been done beautifully, and sympathetically, blended in so well that it is hard to see from any distance.
The rooms have all mod cons and the open air bathrooms very quirky! Individual wood fired boilers heat the water for each rondel! The views are magnificent, especially from the outlook at the highest point, where sundowners are served. And what sunsets! The food was excellent, beautifully presented and efficiently served. The staff were welcoming and friendly, yet professional. This is a special place not to be missed!” –Corrib
“Camp Kipwe ia a wonderfully constructed lodge with rooms and facilities integrated in a kopje in the most charming way. The service and the whole atmosphere of the place is excellent. Herds of springbok and occasionally elephants can be viewed from your private balcony. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer.” –jenstangc
“The location in a granite rock is gorgeous. The Lodges have simple equipment, with its own viewpoint, washing and shower area while watching the stars. Restaurant with panoramic views over the wide plain. Varied vegetarian food – thanks to the “kitchen”. Unforgettable the Sundowner on top of the granite rock. Absolutely recommendable.” –Hans624
